Throughout these stages, both mechanical actions and chemical treatments operate in sequence to remove contaminants and inkwork in tandem to remove ink and contaminants before the pulp is pressed into new paper.
Initially, used paper is placed onto a conveyor belt and transported to a pulping machine, where it is mixed with water and chemicals to break it down into unfiltered pulp. This mixture then undergoes filtration, during which solid contaminants are removed, resulting in filtered pulp ready for further processing.
In the next stage, the filtered pulp is then cleaned asenters a cleaning stage in which air, water and soap are used to remove the inkair bubbles, water jets, and soap interact to strip away ink particles, producing cleaned pulpfully cleaned pulp.
