Terms of Service

Last updated: August 4, 2026

By using IELTS Writing Checker, you agree to these Terms and to use the service as an educational writing feedback tool, not as an official test score.

Educational use only

Scores, comments, and suggestions are estimates generated for study support. They are not official IELTS results, examiner reports, admissions advice, or guarantees of future test performance.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the text you submit, for checking suggested revisions before using them, and for making sure your use of the service is lawful and appropriate.

Accounts and Google sign-in

You need a Google account to create saved reviews, view review history, and use paid subscription features. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for any activity that occurs through your signed-in session.

Your content

You keep ownership of the prompts, essays, and Task 1 images you submit. You grant us permission to process, transmit, store where applicable, display where applicable, and generate feedback from that content as needed to provide the service, maintain saved review history, troubleshoot issues, enforce quotas, prevent abuse, and provide support.

Public essay samples

Unless a submission is marked private, removed, or hidden, you grant us a non-exclusive permission to publish, display, index, excerpt, link to, and promote your submitted prompt, essay text, estimated score, and generated feedback as an anonymous IELTS writing sample. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights and permission needed to submit content for public display. You may contact [email protected] to request that a public sample be hidden or deleted.

AI output

AI-generated scores, comments, and suggestions may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. You should review all feedback before relying on it. We do not guarantee that using the service will improve an exam score or produce any particular result.

Free and paid access

Free users receive 1 score preview per month, including the overall score and overall assessment. Paid subscriptions provide up to 50 reviews per month and unlock criterion scores, criterion feedback, inline annotations, corrections, and rewrites. A report unlocked while paid access is active remains available in full after the subscription ends. Feature limits may change, but we will not intentionally remove paid quota already confirmed for the current paid period except for abuse, refund, dispute, chargeback, or legal reasons.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are auto-renewing subscription products for the monthly or yearly billing cycle shown at checkout. Prices, taxes, billing intervals, renewal terms, and available payment methods are shown before purchase and may be processed by Creem or its payment partners. By starting checkout and completing payment, you authorize the applicable charges shown at checkout.

Cancellation and access expiry

You may cancel a subscription through the subscription management flow made available by the payment provider or by contacting [email protected] for help. If you cancel an offered free trial before it ends, you will not be charged and trial access may end immediately. If a paid subscription is canceled, the 50-review quota and automatic full access for new reports continue until the end of the current paid billing period and then expire unless the subscription is renewed or reactivated. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund a charge that has already been made. Reports already unlocked during paid access remain available in full.

Refunds, disputes, and failed payments

Subscription charges are final and non-refundable once made, including initial charges after a trial, monthly or yearly renewals, partially used billing periods, and unused review capacity, except where applicable law requires a refund. Our Refund Policy is published at https://ieltswritingchecker.org/refunds. If a payment fails, is refunded, is disputed, or is charged back, we may suspend or remove paid access. Contact [email protected] for billing questions.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, submit content you do not have permission to use, or use generated feedback for fraud, impersonation, or academic misconduct.

Prohibited content and conduct

Do not submit malware, illegal content, confidential third-party materials, highly sensitive personal information, or content that infringes another person's rights. Do not try to bypass paywalls, quota limits, authentication, security controls, or billing checks.

Availability

We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of the service. Feedback quality can vary, and the service may occasionally be unavailable or delayed.

Account suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, misused the service, created risk for the service or other users, or if required by law. You may request account deletion by contacting [email protected].

No warranties

The service is provided as is, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IELTS Writing Checker is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, exam outcomes, admissions decisions, or reliance on AI-generated feedback.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on the site. Questions can be sent to [email protected]. These Terms are provided in English, and the English version controls.
