Overall assessment

Why this response received Band 5.0

The response successfully identifies the key transformations shown on the maps, such as the introduction of new facilities and modifications to existing ones. However, accuracy is compromised by factual misstatements, including misreading the year 2010 as 2015 and incorrectly using grammatical forms throughout. To improve, double-check dates and labels against the visual prompt and focus on subject-verb agreement and sentence structure.

Scoring rule

Vocabulary is sufficient to convey the basic map changes, but noticeable errors in spelling, word choice, and word formation occur regularly.

Next step

Review spelling and appropriate prepositional phrases for map descriptions, such as avoiding repeated typos like 'ship' for 'shop'.

GRA

Grammatical Range and Accuracy
