There are two main reasons why people choose western clothes. Firstly, western fashion is popularizedspread through online videos and foreign films, so young people are easily influenced and believe these clothes look modern and tidy. Secondly, western clothes are very practical for modern life. They are light, cheap and easy to wash, which savessave people much time in their busy daily life. Traditional clothes are usually thick and complicated, so people seldom wear them for work or study. Traditional clothing has its own unique advantagesspecial good points and cultural value. It shows a nation’s past and local habits, and each design shows the local people’s culture and new ideas. Wearing traditional clothes is a good way to pass down cultural heritageold culture. However, the growing use of western clothes brings clear problems. Fewer people wear traditional costumes, so young generations cannot learn their local culture well. Some traditional handicraft techniqueshand-making skills may gradually disappeardie out little by little, and many countries will lose their special clothing culture. In conclusion, global fashion influence and practical needs make western clothes very popular. Although this trend brings some cultural issues, it provides people with more convenient and suitable clothinggood clothes for modern life. Therefore, it is still a positive development in general.
