Nowadays, the environmental disasters caused by carbon dioxide are very serious with more and more private cars on the streets. Some argue that raising the expense of fuels and cars can deal with thosethoes problems. I disagree with this viewI disagree that. While it may sound like a simplesimle and effective way, it can bring further problemsmore other problems.

2

First, for most people, a private car has become a necessitynecessary thing. They usually commute to work or school by driving. So if the government simply increasesif government just simply increase the price, it only raises people's financial pressure which is more detrimentaldtrimental than the environmental problems. However, there is an alternative. GovernmentsGovernment can encourage people to buy cars powered by electricitypowerde by electricities instead of traditional fuels, and give those people some discounts. For instance, in China, more than 80% of cars80% cars on the streets are powered by electricitydriven by electricities. This can be attributed to some relevant policies.

3

Second, the cost of fuels is influenced atin a global level rather than one country. So an individual countrya common country is not allowedhas not be allowed to change the price without the agreement from other countries. For example, because of America'sthe America's illegal invasion, the Iranian government closed the canal and the price of fuels increased sharplywere increasing sharply. Almost all countries in the world were influenced. However, increasing the cost of vehicles is a workable way. Government can levy higher taxestake more taxes if people insist on buying a conventional car.

4

In conclusion, there are more workable ways to solve the environmental problems. Simply increasing the cost of fuels and all vehicles may sound like a good waymay sounds a good way, but it can result in other problems.
