individuals can do nothing to improve the environment; only governments and large companies can make a difference. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Sample Response
Environmental pollution is considered a major threat to humankind. The magnificent governing bodies publish that civilians are the least responsible and can never change this trend. However, I partially disagree with this viewpoint, as I strongly believe that natural harmony can be stabilized by the amalgamating resolutions of individuals, as well as the government.
Individuals with amplified social sense can be regarded as the torchbearers who can significantly bring a change in the current scenarios of climatic disruptions. For instance, globally they are many organizations that run basically to inculcate awareness in citizens concerning their respective habitats. These institutions, however, neither works under government nor are profitable companies. Henceforth, I infer that a responsible human can prevent damage to the environment by implementing simple deeds, such as planting saplings, disposal of waste as per the regulatory methods, and so on.
On the contrary, The supremacy does share an equal percentage in developing the surroundings and maintaining the sanity of the environment. To quote, the Singapore government implies stringent rules on its residents for loitering the public places, even sentenced to jail sometimes. Furthermore, well-established companies like hospitals and multinational companies do initiate their employees to categorize one day for the environment, wherein the workers clean the roads, beaches consequently keeping the place devoid of litter. Based on the above, events we can affirm that governments along with multicultural organizations do play a vital role in cultivating a healthy atmosphere.
in the final analysis, I do concur that “united we stand divided we fall” so by the combined efforts of the government along with the individuals we can enrich the environment and make it a better place for future generations.

Why this response received Band 6.0
The response clearly advances a balanced position and uses distinct paragraphs to explain how individuals, governments, and companies can contribute, so the overall argument remains easy to follow. Its main limitation is that ambitious vocabulary and sentence structures are repeatedly used inaccurately, sometimes obscuring otherwise relevant ideas and examples. Prioritize natural, precise word choices and controlled complex sentences, then strengthen the link between each example and the exact claim it supports.
IELTS Writing Criteria Scores
Task Response
The response addresses the claim with a clear shared-responsibility position and relevant examples, though several examples are only loosely connected to the argument.
Show more explicitly how each example proves that individuals, governments, or large companies can produce meaningful environmental change.
Coherence and Cohesion
Clear paragraphing and an overall logical sequence support progression, but some linking expressions are inaccurate or mechanically applied.
Choose transitions that reflect the real relationship between ideas and remove connectors that imply a contrast where none exists.
Lexical Resource
The response attempts a broad vocabulary, but frequent inappropriate collocations and word choices often reduce clarity and precision.
Prefer familiar accurate terms for government action, public awareness, and environmental protection instead of forcing highly elaborate alternatives.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy
There is a mix of simple and complex structures, but recurring agreement, capitalization, punctuation, and clause-construction errors limit accuracy.
Build shorter controlled complex sentences and systematically check subject-verb agreement, clause attachment, and sentence-initial capitalization.
