There are strong arguments that company management mustthe authority of the company must plan their actions to ensure the successplan their actions towards the success of their business. To illustrate, in a supermarket, most goods being sold are important because the earnings will be used to supplement the products, which sustain the continuity of a business. Moreover, it is apparent that more ideas are imperative to the management of a business. It is possible that the owner of the company could commit erroneous decisions, which may be corrected by some workers such as staffing and scheduling in an institution. To conclude, I personally believe that employees must partake to the plans of a company as the authority might sometimes create irrational actions. It is very likely that if the employer and the worker merge their ideas, they will receive a propitious success.
Why this response received Band 6.0
The response discusses both decision-making models and gives a clear preference for employee participation, with useful points about managerial expertise and workers correcting staffing or scheduling mistakes. Its main limitation is uneven development: the supermarket example does not clearly support manager-only decisions, and the single-paragraph format obscures the argument. Prioritise organising the two views into focused body paragraphs with precise, directly relevant examples.
IELTS Writing Criteria Scores
Task Response
Both views and the writer’s opinion are addressed, but support is uneven and the supermarket example has an unclear connection to managerial authority.
Give each view one directly relevant example and explain how it demonstrates the advantages or limits of that decision-making model.
Coherence and Cohesion
The ideas follow a broadly logical sequence, but presenting the entire response as one paragraph weakens organisation and makes transitions feel mechanical.
Separate the introduction, each view, and the conclusion into distinct paragraphs with one controlling idea in each body paragraph.
Lexical Resource
The response attempts a reasonably wide vocabulary, but frequent inaccurate collocations and word choices reduce precision and naturalness.
Prefer accurate phrases such as ‘senior management’, ‘make poor decisions’, ‘contribute to company plans’, and ‘achieve greater success’.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy
A mix of simple and complex structures conveys the main meaning, although agreement, tense, article, pronoun, and preposition errors recur.
Use shorter controlled sentences while checking subject-verb agreement and the verb patterns that follow common business expressions.
