Sample Response
In the present day, a large numberamount of countries use prison to be a method of reducing the ratenumber of crime. Opinions about preventing crimestopping from crime are divided between those who argue that offering high quality education is more helpful than prison to resolve crime issues and those who maintain that prison is the most direct solution. From my perspective, I contend firmly in favour of the latter view.
To begin with, the latter point which I agree with is grounded in practical and reasonable considerations. One of the strongest arguments in its favour is that most crimes aremost of crime are caused by different problems which cannot be resolved through providing better educationeducations. This can be proved clearlymagnificantly since some criminals to do so due to their difficult living situations and challenges of unemployment. Education may be able to make individuals acquire knowledge and skills, but it cannot deal with those problems directly, thereby strengthening the case for the latter position. A further consideration that criminals should be punished and realize the consequences after doing illegal activities, and the whole society also should be warned through prison. It is only by considering these two factors together that we can fully appreciate the strength of this standpoint.
Compelling though this position may be, the opposing view also has its reasonable parts. One potential effect is that education can help residents understandmake residents to understand the importance of avoiding crime, especially from a young agesince they were young. Based on a better education, people can form positive habits and develop self-disciplinemake positive habits and have high disciplines through education. A concern that arises from the fact that in some rural areas with the lack of high-quality educationrack of high quality education, people are more likely to become criminals than the residents in urban areas thatwhere have enough educational resources. However, the limitationBy contrast, the explanation for this lies in the fact that education is a long term input, which means it cannot be the useful solution for the problem of crime. In other wordsOn the other words, even though people gain a higher education, it does not mean they will comply with lawsit does not represent they can be comply with laws, regulations when they are facing difficultiesfacing to difficulties in their lives. For example, some people with higher education still become criminals since they could not seek an appropriate work opportunity or struggle with financial difficulties, or even are just influenced by others. Hence, the most direct and effective solution is still prison right now.
In conclusion, although this issue remains a matter of debate, the position that prison is necessary for people to be aware to keep obeying regulationskeep obeying to regulations and avoid becoming criminals stands out as the reasonable and crucial one, and education or other methods can be helpful, being extra strategies.
