It is certainly true that teachers have attained a great position in society. after parents, there are teachers only who can guide their students and help them to choose their career so that they become successful in their life. but this vocation is diminishing with the passage of time. nowadays, students prefer to go to other professions rather than teaching. even their parents do not allow them to choose this occupation. the government should take appropriate steps to save this profession and encourage the students to go for this dignified occupation. The first and foremost reason for diminishing this profession is less scope of promotion. students want to attain success and earn an exorbitant amount of money because in this materialistic world the aspirations of the students are very high. so they are going away from this vocation. furthermore, the students do not give as much respect to their teachers which they deserve. the government should take further action to promote this profession. for instance, the authorities should give extra benefits and facilities to teachers and there should also be chances of promotion. teachers should be given the bonus for their extra efforts.
