Nowadays people produce more waste than ever, as they are accustomed to a “throw-away” lifestyle. And it has become worseit’s become worst as they generate wastewastes which are difficult to dispose ofdifficult to be disposed of. I personally agree with the statement and the following essay will explain it in detaildetails.

2

To begin with, as the world economyeconomic has developed, people generate more waste each year. With mass industrialisationWith the mass industrialisation, costs of producing products such as plastic bottlesproducts such as the plastic bottle or disposable diapers are getting lower than ever. As a result, lots of people prefer to use these kinds of products, as they believe that these items are more efficient and hygienichygiene. However, they do not realise that these products have a catastrophic effect on the environment. It is very difficult to recycle these items, as it requires for more than a century to dispose of them. Consequently, people require more landfills these days, which willthese days which will reduce the number of green areas.

However, to resolve the issue, we could change our habit of purchasingchange the habits of purchasing non-environmentally friendly products. For example, instead of buying mineral water that is packaged in a plastic bottlepacked in the plastic bottle, we could use a glass bottle that can be repeatedly used. In terms of recycling, a glass bottle is easier to recycle than a plastic onethe glass bottle is easier than the plastic one and safer for human healththe human’s health as well. It has been reported that plastic bottles could cause cancercancers and other kinds of serious diseases. Another example would be to use a paper bag or a permanent bag as a substitute for plastic bagsa substitution of plastic bags. By changing this kind of lifestylethese kinds of lifestyle, it is hoped that we could reduce the amount of waste that cannot be disposed ofnumber of non-disposable waste in the area.

4

In conclusion, it is undeniable that people generate more waste these days, as they have a “throw-away” habit. And it gets worseworst, as much of the waste ismany of the waste are non-disposable. I strongly agree with the statement, and we should change this wastefulnegative lifestyle immediately. We could start by changing our lifestyle from using disposable items to consuming a friendly environment one, and hoped that the number of waste would be reduced gradually.

Overall assessment

Why this response received Band 6.5

The response maintains a clear position and organizes its explanation and proposed consumer actions into a logical progression, supported by relevant examples. Its main limitation is persistent imprecision in word choice and grammar, which makes several claims awkward despite the generally clear meaning, while the recommended measures remain somewhat narrow. The highest priority is to express each solution in accurate, natural sentences and explain its likely environmental effect more fully.

The four-paragraph structure and overall progression are clear, but some linking is mechanical and several sentences repeat rather than advance the point.

Next step

Use transitions that reflect the exact logical relationship and remove repeated statements from the introduction and conclusion.

Prioritize accurate forms and natural combinations such as economic development, hygienic products, environmentally friendly choices, and non-recyclable waste.

GRA

Grammatical Range and Accuracy
