Sample Response
Contemporary societyThe contemporary society is progressingprogressed because ofpursuant to the changes that computers bring to peoplegenerate for citizens. One of the new trends it has created is the replacement of regular books with digital counterpartsdigitally printed counterparts. The following paragraphs will thus address some futureprospective outcomes that the publishing industry will encounter consequent to this situation and illustrate the writer's personal opinion.
It is expected that the concept of ordinary books will not completely collapse but its popularity will declinehinder significantly in the future. In fact, as is already the caseas is already case with the modern world, more people are choosing to buy E-books over tangible books. It is firstly much easier to storeto be stored since one computer can hold thousands of virtual books. Secondly, the absence of distributiondistributional and publishing fees involved in making digital prints enablesenable the selling price to be lower. Therefore, the convenient and cost-efficient aspects that digital books possess will eventually attract more users in the nearclose future while leaving the pre-existing book industry underin threat.
Personally, it is felt that the results of the this trendabove-mentioned prediction will preclude people from acknowledging the value of tangible books. For regular books, there is a limited productionlabour capacity to supply the desired number of items to readers. This often requires them to wait for a few weeks or even months to obtain what they want to read. Although the wait can be frustratingdreadful, this waiting periodsuch a time span intensifies their appreciation towards the author and his hard work. However, E-books, which can be readily duplicated, are unlikelywith E-books which can be readily duplicated simply by copying and pasting, is unlikely to ever allow people to know how precious a book can be.
In conclusion, these argumentsthe aforementioned ideas clearly demonstrate how the ordinary book industry will be influenced by its counterparts produced online, and my view of this trendwhat the writer thinks of this trend.
Why this response received Band 7.0
The response clearly predicts a decline in physical books and presents a personal concern about the loss of appreciation for them, with a logical progression from forecast to opinion. Its main limitation is that this evaluation remains narrow and does not fully explain the wider significance of the trend, while some ambitious phrasing sounds unnatural. Prioritise stating whether the change is positive or negative and developing why its social consequences matter.

Coherence and Cohesion
Paragraphing is clear and the argument progresses from prediction to opinion. Some linking is formal and slightly overused, but the reader can follow the line of reasoning.
Use simpler cohesive phrases and make the final sentence of each body paragraph show how the point answers the question.
Lexical Resource

Choose precise academic verbs such as "decline", "replace", and "undermine" rather than overly formal phrases that do not fit the sentence.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy
