The flow chart illustrates the nine-step procedure for producing fabric from bamboo, commencing with bamboo cultivation in spring and culminating in finished products 1such as T-shirts and socksincluding clothing and socks. Overall, the conversion of bamboo into textile fabric comprises agricultural activities, mechanical processing of bamboo stems, chemical 2treatment of fibres, andtreatment of fibres and textile manufacturing. 3These sequential nine phases fall into four distinct stages 4namely seasonalthat are seasonal bamboo planting and harvesting, mechanical extraction of long fibres, chemical softening of raw fibres, and the fabrication of end consumer goods. To begin with, bamboo 5plantsshoots are planted in spring. Upon reaching maturity in autumn, mature bamboo 6is harvestedis harvested by farmers. Stalks are cut into strips with a saw, before being crushed to form a pulpy mixture. This pulp is then filtered to isolate long fibres suspended within the liquid. Following mechanical extraction, the separated fibres undergo chemical processing. Water and amine oxide are introduced to soften rigid raw fibres. The softened fibre material is spun into yarn, which is subsequently woven into fabric. In the 7finalultimate production phase, the woven fabric is processed into finished merchandise such as T-shirts and socks.
