These sequential nine phases fall into four distinct stages: seasonaldistinct stages that are seasonal bamboo planting and harvesting, mechanical extraction of long fibres, chemical softening of raw fibres, and the fabrication of end consumer goods. To begin with, bamboo shoots are planted in spring. Upon reaching maturity in autumn, mature bamboo is harvested by farmers. The stalks are cutStalks are cut into strips using a circular sawwith a saw, before being crushed to form a pulpy mixture. This pulp is then filtered to isolate long fibres suspended within the liquid. Following mechanical extraction, the separated fibres undergo chemical processing.
