Why this response received Band 6.0
The response provides a clear overview and selects several accurate headline comparisons, especially the highest and lowest totals and penetration rates. Its main limitation is frequent grammatical and collocational error, which makes otherwise logical comparisons awkward and occasionally incomplete. The highest-priority improvement is to form complete comparative sentences with accurate subject-verb agreement while retaining the strong selection of key data.
IELTS Writing Criteria Scores
Task Achievement
The overview accurately identifies the main extremes, and the supporting paragraphs report several important figures correctly.
Add one broader comparison involving the middle-ranked countries to make coverage of the ten-country table more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion
The response follows a sensible overview-to-detail structure, but some run-on constructions and a sentence fragment weaken cohesion.
Separate percentage and total-user comparisons into consistently complete sentences with clearer punctuation.
Lexical Resource
There is an adequate range of vocabulary for rankings and proportions, though several word choices and collocations are unnatural.
Replace forms such as topmost, concerning total population, and second least country with precise comparative language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy
The writer attempts complex comparisons, but frequent agreement, article, clause, and sentence-boundary errors reduce control.
Prioritise complete clause structures and subject-verb agreement when expressing percentages and rankings.
