This can be seen in Vietnam where many young adults, especially those in Generation Z, attempt to become influencers on popular social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram due to the high earning potentialthe high stream of income. This might contribute to the imbalance in the job market. More worryingly, a society that excessively rewards fame and fortune over public service and leadership may prioritize materialistic values over qualities such as integrity, empathy, and altruism. This shift in values can have detrimental effects on societal cohesion.
In conclusion, the substantial income gap between celebrities and politicians arises from the diverse revenue streams available to celebrities and the constraints of a political career. This phenomenon could pose serious challenges to the job market and the development of society.
