However, journalists hold an particular responsibility for providingexclusive obligation in providing the public with information. Meanwhile, the majority of these workers are not dedicated to the duties and ethical standardsbasic instructions that govern this profession. As such, this essay shall explain ways in which the society can have to believe in the information which they bring.

First of all, most of these reporters alter the information they obtainget in touch with. As a result, people hardly get access to the accuraterightful content of an incidentincidence which can be very misleading in a variety of ways. Because of this, since there are various journalistsa variety of journalism individuals who normally gather data pertaining to a particular case, individuals can compare information from different sources to ascertain the validity of the messagemassage. For instance, in Ghana, there are so many news organisationsreporting industries like Joynews, Peace FM, Joy prime and so on who collect information about specific events, and clearly, their reports often differtheir contents mostly differ.

Second of all, most people in this speciality fail to use athe professional approach in gathering data and eventually end up collecting false information, which is later broadcastbroadcasted to the public. I believe government should set up a regulatory body to closely monitor their activities and apply the necessary chastisement to any reporting officers and whole industries who fall culprits in delivering faulted information. By doing so, they will be more careful in going about their duties, and ultimately, the public will be assured of quality news. In conclusion, I believe these workers who provide the general public with news about important eventsimportant events, at times, produce poor-quality workdo shabby work and fail to apply the appropriate methodsrequired methodology in bringing us the information needed. Hence, these problems canCan be mitigated if the state regulates their activities and society ensuresthe society makes sure information is obtained from different sources. They are providing the public with information.

Overall assessment

Why this response received Band 5.5

The response is organised into a recognisable argument and offers relevant ideas about verifying reports and regulating journalism. However, it only implies how much journalists can be trusted and spends substantial space proposing solutions, while repeated wording, imprecise vocabulary, and grammatical errors weaken clarity. The highest-priority improvement is to state a precise degree of trust and make each paragraph explain and support that judgement directly.

TR

Task Response

5.5
Scoring rule

The response addresses journalistic unreliability with relevant ideas, but its answer to how much journalists can be trusted remains indirect and unevenly developed.

Next step

State a clear degree of trust in the introduction and make every supporting point explicitly justify that position rather than mainly proposing remedies.

CC

Coherence and Cohesion

5.5
Scoring rule

Paragraphing gives the essay a visible progression, although the duplicated opening, mechanical transitions, repetition, and stray final sentence disrupt cohesion.

Next step

Remove duplicated or disconnected material and use clearer logical links within paragraphs to show how each example supports the central judgement.

There is enough vocabulary to discuss the topic, but frequent inaccurate choices and collocations reduce precision and sometimes distract the reader.

Next step

Prefer accurate common expressions such as news organisations, verify information, and appropriate penalties instead of forcing less suitable formal words.
