I totally disagree with the statement, and I will explain my view in the following paragraphsparagraph.
Firstly, as we all know, transporting goods by road is the cheapestgoods transported by road are the cheapest mode of transportsource of transportation in the supply chain compared to other modes of transportother means of communication. For example, a free trade agreement between USMCA (United States, Mexico and Canada) in which these countries don’t have to pay taxes on the borders as per their policy. Furthermore, if truckers had to take a driving testgo for the driving test every year and had to renew their driving license by taking a testby giving a driving test, it would be very difficult for them to remain in this professiona really challenging situation for them to work in this profession. As we already have a shortage of truckers across the world and if we will impose any kind of new amendments, like going for the road test every year, that will create chaos in the supply chain industry. HoweverAlthough, if the government wants to make the goods safersafer and more secure, they should regularly check the drivers' logbookslogbooks of the driver and they should also install some cameras or sensors on the trucks to help keep the goods safewhich will keep the goods safer.
To summarise, the government should not make any such changes that will impact the whole industry.
