Sample Response

1

Some people believe that despite the growingspreading popularity of the online media, traditional newspapersnewspaper will still hold the most importantvital position among news consumersreaders. In my opinion, this claim is unconvincingidea is rather absurd as the Internet has become increasingly dominant due to the benefits it offers.

2

The first thing that attracts people to readreading news from online sourceson the online sources is their accessibilitytheir easy access. With the availabilitypresence of the Internet in almost every part of the worldaround almost every corner of the world, people with a portable device such as a mobile phone can access a vast amount of newsaccess huge storage of news. In fact, the latest eventslatest events, for example IS Terrorist attacks, are reported immediatelywould be updated immediately by CNN or The New York Timeson CNN or New York Times. By contrast, with lengthy processesprolonging procedures including editingeditting and printing, traditional newspapersnewspaper might not be able to compete with the Internet in terms of the speed of updatesupdating speed.

3

Another benefit with which the Internet can, from my point of view, take over the position of printed newspaper is the new experience it brings to readers. One limitation of newspaper is that it cannot convey visual messages to the people who read news on a regular basis. Meanwhile, continuous advances in technologynon-stop progress of the technology industry has made it possibleunfolded the possibility to upload videos and voice records on various online websites. For instance, soccer fans these days can rewatch their favorite matches anytime they want with only a laptop connected to the Internet, which a mere paper cannot do.

4

In conclusion, I disagree that printed newspaper would continue to be the most crucial source of information because more and more people will be drawn to use the Internet.

Overall assessment

Why this response received Band 7.0

The response maintains a clear position and uses a straightforward two-part structure to explain why online news is more accessible and versatile. Its main limitation is uneven language control: recurring article, number, tense, and collocation problems make several otherwise relevant points sound imprecise, while the sports example only partly supports a claim about news. Prioritize more accurate phrasing and choose examples that directly demonstrate advantages in news delivery.
