Thus, some people claim that the most widely spokenconversed language, English, would one day predominate over other languages. However, there are a few drawbacks to having a single global language.
On the one hand, there are several advantages of having a single global languageone language globally; it would enable greater understanding between countries and remove communication barriersremove the communication barriers. Consequently, this wouldwill lead to economic development across the world, and trade would flourish between countries.
