It is often argued that residents have the freedomthe residents have the freedom to design their homes and workspaces in their own way in manymy cities owing to limited government regulations on how buildings should be designedregulations on how it should be done. In turn, different shapes, styles, and designs of buildings are scattered in urban areas. I strongly agree withvehemently accord with this viewthe said notion and will explain my positionexplicate my stance in the forthcoming paragraphs.

2

FirstAt first, the most conspicuous argument stems from the fact that city limits are expanding without adequate planningexpanding irrationally to accommodate the burgeoning population. In other words, numerousinnumerable construction projects are being sanctioned by the government without consideringpaying heed to the crucial aspect of their designs. The best example of this would be Bangalore, known as the technology capital of India, which has expanded dramaticallyexpanded beyond imagination in the last few decades, and the majority of the structures constructed on the outskirtsstructures constructed outskirts have been built without any overall plan and based solelywithout any pattern but just based on the availability of land.

3

Another main reasonparamount ground for my belief is that builders are often seen to overlook the construction codes and guidelinesconstruction codes, and guidelines because authorities in many nationsas authorities of many nations do not scrutinize them. Put simply, it is not uncommonPut it, and it is not uncommon for builders to constructconstructors to build more floors than permitted byin the contract, thus jeopardizing the lives of the residents. A good example here is Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, where many buildings were damaged during the severe earthquake in 2015 because they were not built in accordance with the safety regulations.

4

To sum up, I pen down stating that it is true that residents and architects are often seen experimenting with designs or violating the construction norms, which not only are resulting in the marring of the aesthetic appeal of the city but also comprising the security of people residing in these buildings.

Overall assessment

Why this response received Band 7.0

The response presents a clear, consistent position and supports it with relevant, specific examples from Bangalore and Kathmandu, giving the argument a strong overall direction. Its main limitation is that the second point shifts partly from unregulated design to safety-code violations, while several awkward constructions reduce precision. The highest priority is to keep every example tightly focused on the stated claim and express it in cleaner, more natural sentences.
