Nowadays, a growing number of people are concerned about wasted food, which has already become a daily phenomenon in society. There are several reasons to explain why it happens, while variousexcessive measures both individuals and governments can use to address this issue effectively.

First and foremost, the main reason for food waste is social economic development. People do not need to worry about food scarcityface the challenges of starvation, and thus individuals generally lose awareness of cherishing the food they buylost their awareness about cherishing the food they owned. Meanwhile, an increasing number of people choose to live alone, which means there is no one else they can share their food withshare with their food. When people cannot eat all their food, the surplus is often thrown awayexcess food would be wasted.
