Why this response received Band 6.5
The response presents a consistent position and a clear two-reason structure, with the first point linking education to innovation and national progress effectively. Its main limitation is that the second reason about international communication is asserted more than demonstrated and the discussion relies on repetition; the highest-priority improvement is to develop each reason through a precise causal chain and a concrete national-development example.
IELTS Writing Criteria Scores
Task Response
The position is clear and supported by two relevant reasons, though the communication argument is only partly connected to national development and examples remain general.
Explain specifically how improved international communication produces measurable development, using a concrete economic or institutional example.
Coherence and Cohesion
The essay progresses logically from the stated position through two reasons to a consistent conclusion, despite some repetitive explanation and formulaic signposting.
Reduce restatement within paragraphs and let each sentence add a distinct stage to the causal argument.
Lexical Resource
The response shows an adequate range of topic vocabulary, but awkward collocations, redundant pairings, and imprecise expressions are frequent enough to limit precision.
Replace phrases such as 'pay much care' and 'deal or contact with' with concise, natural collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy
Complex sentences are used and meaning remains clear, but recurring article, preposition, tense, and agreement errors reduce grammatical control.
Edit complex sentences for article and preposition accuracy, then check that verb tense remains consistent within each example.
