Many young people today know more about international pop and movie stars than about famous people in the history in their country.Why is this?What can be done to increase young people’s interest in famous people in the history of their country?

Some people believe that family has the greatest influence on children’s development while others think that other areas such as television and friends have a greater influence. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Many newspapers and magazines feature stories about the private lives of famous people. We know what they eat, where they buy their clothes, and who they love. We also often see pictures of them in private situations. Is it appropriate for a magazine or newspaper to give this kind of private information about people?

News editors decide what to broadcast on television and what to print in newspapers. What factors do you think to influence these decisions? Do we become used to bad news? Would it be better if more good news was reported?
