1

The diagram illustrates the production of a Deletesustainable biofuel, ethanol. Overall, the process forms adiagram illustrates a closed-loop system with several cyclical stages9 essential stages of biofuel production.

2

The process commences with the growth of plants and trees, which require energy derived from the combination of sunlight and carbon dioxide. After this, the plants and treesand the trees are harvested. The harvested crop undergoes a pre-processing stage , where it is crushed into small particles using special machinery . The following stage includes processing this material into celluloseturning them into cellulose. Sugars are extracted from the produced cellulose, and essential microbes are added in order to turn it into ethanol.

3

At the final stage of the process, the produced ethanol is used to powerused for operating various means of transportation, namely cars, trucks, and even planescars, trucks and even planes. Their constant usage causes the emission of carbon dioxide into the air, which is used by nature to repeat the same process of ethanol production all over again.

Overall assessment

Why this response received Band 8.0

The report effectively describes the circular process of ethanol production by accurately outlining key stages depicted in the visual diagram. Paragraphing and logical sequencing are well maintained, giving the description a smooth flow. To improve further, ensure that technical details like chemical processing are described precisely without leaving out minor steps.
