There are three major phases involved in the procedure, commencing with the construction of the landfill, and culminating in the final closure of the site. This modern landfill is to prevent the environment from being contaminated. Initially, a large hole is excavateda man-made hole is dug into the natural bedrockin a layer of natural rock which is then lined with a layer of clay and a synthetic liningbefore a layer of clay is laid, followed by the synthetic lining. In addition, drainage pipes, which are connected to an underground drainage tank to collect waste liquid (leachate)liquid from the waste, are installed on the base above the synthetic liningthe inner side of the synthetic lining. After the completion of the landfill's constructionthe completion of landfill construction, household waste is transported by rubbish trucks before being deposited into the modern landfill. Turning to the final stage, the landfill is blanketed with a clay cover, with a pipe to allow gases to escape safelyavoid emitted gases from escaping.
