Sample Response

1

In recent years, social media platforms such as Facebook have been widely criticized Deleteby some people for having a detrimental effect on both individuals and society. While I acknowledge these concerns, I believe that the advantages of social media outweigh the disadvantages.

2

Admittedly, social networking sites can weaken local ties. When people spend long hours online, they may neglect face-to-face interaction with their neighbours, and this can make communities less cohesive. This issue is particularly serious for young users, whose worldviews are still developing and who may be exposed to violent or extremist content. However, these problems are caused less by social media itself than by excessive and uncritical use. With reasonable time limits and better digital literacy education, many of these risks can be reduced.

3

On the other hand, social media offers considerable benefits. It bridges geographical distancesdistance, enabling people to communicate with friends, relatives and business partners instantly abroadabroad instantly. It also helps individuals with limited social circles find like-minded peersfriends or supportive online communities. Economically, platforms create flexible opportunities: many young people now earn a living as content creators or independent bloggers, which not only provides them with income but also helps ease unemployment pressurespressure. In addition, online groups can offer emotional support, allowing users to share anxieties and relieve stress.

4

In conclusion, although social media may fragment communities and expose young people to harmful content, these problems can be managed through responsible use and effective regulation. Given theirits ability to connect people, create livelihoods and provide support, I remain convinced that their advantages are greater than their disadvantagesits advantages are greater than its disadvantages.
