The bar chart illustrates data regarding the purchasing and consumption patternspattern of coffee and tea among residents in five cities across Australia in the last 4 weeksin last 4 weeks.
Overall, more than half the population in all cities except Adelaide went to a café for coffee or tea,went to a cafe for coffee, making it the most widespread habit in four of the five citiesalmost the most popular habit. While buying instant coffee was also popular, buying fresh coffee was generally less common.
Turning first to cafe visits, it was the most common in Melbourne and Hobart at 64% and 63%, respectively. Sydney was similarlycomparably high at about 61%, followed by Brisbane at roughly 56%, and lastly Adelaide at just below 50%.followed by Brisbane at just over 55%, and finally Adelaide at under 50%. In addition, Adelaide was the only city where people boughtbrought more instant coffee at 50% by a slightslightly margin.
In Hobart, instant coffee purchases stoodstand at 54%, ahead of Brisbane at 53%, Adelaide at 50%, Melbourne at 48%, and lastly Sydney at 46%. Buying fresh coffee was below 45% for all cities. Its proportion was relatively high in Sydney at 44% and Melbourne at 42.5%. Meanwhile, Hobart stood at roughly 38.5%,accounted for 43% , while Brisbane and Adelaide were much lower at approximately 34% each.kept much lower at both approximate 34%.
