Items like puzzles, board games and pictures undoubtedly holds a significant contribution to the child’s growth. I strongly believe that these items are the inevitable factor for the kid’s development who ranges between anyone from the time of birth to until the age of teenager.
Firstly, puzzlesPuzzles which is similar to a riddleas it sounds like a riddle is a very easy taska most easy to do task but only once you become used to it. Children should be encouraged to play puzzle games because, they will see a lot of different pieces of the puzzle scattered on table, they would send signals to brain to recognize and identify the objects they know and separate them from different objects. After this, children's brains and handskids brain and hands work in tandem, which actually helps them to find the right piece and fit it into the puzzle accurately. For example, it has been observed that children who were exposed to puzzles for the first timeexposed to puzzles first time were filled with anxiety and fear and lookedlooks astonished compared with thoseas compared to the others who played with them regularlywho play it on a regular basis.
The second important itemSecond, important item is board-games which are very common and quite popular among kids although not all forms are equally popularbut not all forms of it. Why this response received Band 6.0
The response gives a clear selection of three resources and organises the discussion so that the intended developmental benefit of each can be followed. However, the support is uneven: the puzzle section is detailed, while the board-game and picture sections offer limited or sometimes unclear reasoning, and frequent grammatical and collocational errors weaken precision. The highest priority is to develop one or two choices more convincingly with clear cause-and-effect explanations expressed in shorter, accurately controlled sentences.
IELTS Writing Criteria Scores
Task Response
The response answers what should be given and why, but development is uneven and some supporting claims are unclear or only loosely convincing.
Select fewer items if necessary and explain each developmental benefit through a precise causal chain and a clearly relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion
Paragraphing and sequencing markers create a recognisable progression, though long run-on sentences and mechanical transitions sometimes weaken cohesion.
Give each paragraph one focused claim and separate supporting stages into shorter sentences with clear referencing.
Lexical Resource
The vocabulary is adequate and includes some useful topic language, but frequent inaccurate formations and collocations reduce naturalness and precision.
Build reliable combinations such as 'contribute significantly', 'solve puzzles', and 'children's development' before attempting more elaborate wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy
Simple and complex forms are attempted, but frequent errors in agreement, articles, possessives, plurals, and sentence boundaries limit control.
Prioritise complete sentence boundaries and systematically check subject-verb agreement, articles, and possessive forms.
