It is noticeable that in 2016, adults aged 18 to 64 took up the majority of library members, while children's fiction and adult fiction were both the categories with the highest proportion of loanswith most loans in the same year. From 2007 to 2016, the total loans experienced an overall increase, despite a small decline from 2012 to 2014.
In 2016, 51% of the library members were adults aged from 18 to 64, which was more than double the second largest figure (children at 22%)which more than doubled the second largest figure for children, at 22%, followed by young adults aged from 13-17 and adults aged 65 and over, at 15% and 12% respectively. Meanwhile, the table of loans by categories showed a much bigger disparity. Children's fiction and adult fiction both accounted for 38%, followed by adult non-fiction at 13% and children's non-fiction at 6%, but at the bottom, children's DVDs, young adults, and adult audio books only occupied 5% in totalchildren's non-fiction, young adults and adult audio books only occupied 5% in total.
In 2007, the library had roughly 16,00016000 loans, which then gradually grew to around 21000 in 2011, although the figure almost didn't change between 2008 and 2009. In the following two years, a moderate reduction occurredoccured, with the figure dipping to about 19000 in 2013. Since then, the total number of loans steadily recovered and climbed to approximately 22000 in 2016.
