Physicist Enrico Fermi discovered the potential of nuclear fission in 1934 and later Albert Einstein during the end of the 20th century enhanced the possibility of its usages with his sole aim to use for peaceful purposes. Almost all developed countries employ this innovation for numerous reasons like power generation to craft a bomb. Although I believe that there are safety issues, I agree that nuclear technology must be employed wherever it is beneficial. The basis for my views is economiceconomical and ecological.

2

From an economiceconomical point of view, even though the initial investment is high because safety is required at multiple levelsinitial investment is quite high to ensure multilevel security, the running costs of nuclear-powered industries arethe running cost of the nuclear-powered industries are negligible compared with those of other energy industriesnegligible, when compared to its peers. For instance, in a nuclear reactornuclear power reactor, one gramme of uranium can generate as much electricity as a thermal reactorelectricity equivalent to a thermal reactor which consumes one thousand kilogrammes of coal. Moreover, nuclear reactors support conservationnuclear reactor supports conservation of natural resources as it requires lesslesser input. Therefore, nuclear-based plants should remain operationalneed to be functional.

3

From an ecological perspective, nuclear plants support a greener environmentthe nuclear plant supports greener environment becausedue to the fact that their wasteits remains are biodegradable. In additionIn addition to that, the nuclear process does not emit toxic gasesdoes not exhaust poisonous gases unlike competing energy sourceslike its competitors. For example, according to recent research by American scientistsas per the recent research by the American scientists, air pollution is highest and lowest in those nations which rely on petroleum based industries and nuclear plants respectively, to generate electricity. Petroleum based industries exhale toxic gases like carbon monoxide and methane which are hazardous. Thus, it is obvious that nuclear-based plants should be operational.

4

In conclusion, by analysing how nuclear-based industries save a myriad of money and resources as well as walk in hands with the environment, it is agreed that nuclear technology must be put into force wherever it seems advantageous. It is predicted that many rounds of safety checks are carried out before a nuclear plant is operational.

Overall assessment

Why this response received Band 6.5

The essay maintains a clear supportive position and organises its economic and ecological reasons in a straightforward, relevant structure. Its main limitation is frequent imprecise wording and several loosely supported claims, which reduce the authority of otherwise understandable reasoning; the brief mention of safety is also left undeveloped. Prioritise natural academic collocations and explain how concrete safeguards would address the acknowledged risks before concluding.

IELTS Writing Criteria Scores

TR

Task Response

7.0
Scoring rule

A clear position is supported by developed economic and ecological arguments, but the acknowledged safety concern is not meaningfully evaluated.

Next step

Explain one major safety risk and the safeguard needed to manage it, then show why the constructive benefits still justify the qualified support.

CC

Coherence and Cohesion

7.0
Scoring rule

The introduction, two reason-based body paragraphs, and conclusion form a logical progression, though some supporting claims are loosely connected within sentences.

Next step

Use each body paragraph to move explicitly from claim to explanation to relevant example, avoiding abrupt assertions at the end.

LR

Lexical Resource

6.0
Scoring rule

The response attempts a broad academic vocabulary, but frequent inaccurate collocations such as craft a bomb, exhaust gases, and myriad of money reduce precision.

Next step

Use standard expressions such as manufacture weapons, emit toxic gases, save substantial money, and work in harmony with the environment.

GRA

Grammatical Range and Accuracy

6.0
Scoring rule

A mix of sentence forms communicates the main ideas, but agreement, article, comparison, and clause-structure errors occur regularly.

Next step

Check subject-verb agreement and pronoun reference in every complex sentence, especially comparisons involving costs, reactors, and alternative energy sources.
