Although this may have some disadvantages, I believe that the advantages of this would outweigh the disadvantages. On the one hand, university students usually have busy schedules. They may face many academic challengesproblems in their studies. They should pay more attention to solving them. If they spend time studying abroad or doing a work placement, they will not have enough time to finish their studies. In my opinion, this may conflict with their primary academic goalsinitial purpose. On the other hand, spending time studying abroad is a beneficial optiongood choice which can broaden their horizons. This is because they have an opportunity to experience local culture and meet people from different countries. As a result, they can gain a broader global perspectiveunderstand this world better. The most important reason is that students can also learn new theories and technologies. It is a valuable opportunitygood chance to improve themselves. Another advantage is that doing a work placement can provide students with practical experiencegive students practical experience. The reason for this is that students can use the knowledge acquiredthat they learnt at university in real situations. For example, engineering students can learn how to use their knowledge to solve real problems during a work placement. I think it is a rewardinguseful experience for their careers in the future. In conclusion, although spending time studying abroad or doing a work placement has some disadvantages, I believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages because students can experience different cultures to understand this world, or gain practical experience from doing a work placement. These bring substantial benefits to undergraduatesbenefit students a lot.
