Why this response received Band 6.5
The response’s strongest feature is its broad engagement with both traditional perceptions and changing gender roles, culminating in a generally clear rejection of rigid job divisions. Its main weakness is that repeated stereotypes and an initially indirect position dilute the argument, while awkward phrasing and recurring grammatical errors reduce precision. Prioritise a clear thesis from the outset, then organise each paragraph around evidence-based claims expressed in accurate academic language.

The essay addresses the issue and reaches a broadly clear view that jobs should not be restricted by gender. However, the argument spends too long repeating stereotypes before qualifying them, so the position is not consistently developed.
State your disagreement more clearly in the introduction and use the first body paragraph to discuss perceived differences without presenting stereotypes as facts.
