Currently, some people claim that humanshuman have a basic right to clean waterright which is getting clean water, thus every home should be provided with free water. I disagree with this measure as I believe that the governments or society providing free water for everyone may lead to several problems, including wasting water and increasing financial strain on governmentsimproving governments’ economic stress.
The first reason why I disagree with this proposalbehaviour is that it may result in wasting water. This is because, if providing free water for every home, many people will be less conscious of water conservationreduce focus on water. For example, many people may increase unnecessary the frequency of showersshower times and take more time to shower. This behaviour can lead to unnecessary waste. As a result, supplyingsupporting free water for everyone can increase unnecessary public demand for watersocial unnecessary demand of water and may result in a shortage of water forin industry.
Another reasoncause is that this measure can lead to greater financial pressure on governmentsgovernment economic pressure growth. If the government wantsIf government wants to provide free water to everyone, they will need to increase investmentinvesting in many items such as water pipestubes, factories and staff. Then, those investments may lead to the government need to reduce assistance to other basic public services such as education, public transportation and healthcaremedicine. Thus, this measure may mean that residents must paylead to that residents have to pay more money for other basic services and facilities.
In conclusion, I disagree that every home should be provided with free watersupported by water which is free since this plan also has many negative effects. For instance, it can result in wasting water and increasing governments’ economic stress. Therefore, I oppose this idea.
