The illustration compares thethat arrangement of the health centre's rooms and facilities in 2005 and in the present day. It can be observed that the health centre has been renovated and it has more rooms and less garden spaceless space for garden at present than in 2005these days compared to that of 2005. According to Plan Athe plan A, in 2005, the health centre's car park could accommodate only twelve vehiclescater only twelve motor vehicles. Inside the buildingFrom the entrance of the building, the reception desk was at the centre of the building and itthat was surrounded by three consultingconsultation rooms and the office. There wereare seats for people onat the left side of the entrance in the reception room. The health centreThe hospital also had a physiotherapy room which was located behind the second consulting room. Moreover, the garden outside the building was quite wide and surrounded the health centre. The renovation took place in the hospital and nowadays there are additional facilities in the health centre such as a minor-operations roomoperating room for minor procedures and a children's play areaa place for children's recreation. Now the parking area can accommodate thirty cars and wider compared to their carpark area in the year 2005. It can also be observed that some changes were made in the reception room. Moreover, its entrance has been relocatedentrance is relocated to the left sideat the left-side of the building as well as its reception desk which is a few steps away from thetheir entrance door. A new consultingconsultancy room was added and today, the health centre can perform minor operations as they have a dedicated minor-operations roomoperation room adjacent to the office and just beside the physiotherapy room.

Overall assessment

Why this response received Band 6.5

The response identifies the main transformation clearly and supports it with accurate details about the enlarged car park, additional rooms, and relocated entrance and reception. Its main limitation is language control: awkward word choices, shifting tenses, missing sentence elements, and unclear pronouns recur throughout. The highest priority is to edit each comparison for complete grammatical structure and precise map terminology while retaining the strong visual coverage.

IELTS Writing Criteria Scores

TA

Task Achievement

8.0
Scoring rule

A clear overview and well-selected, largely accurate details cover the principal changes shown in both plans.

Next step

Add the changed seating arrangement and describe the reduced garden and expanded building footprint more explicitly for still fuller coverage.

CC

Coherence and Cohesion

6.0
Scoring rule

The description progresses sensibly from the earlier plan to the present one, but the single long paragraph and repetitive linking weaken organisation.

Next step

Use separate paragraphs for 2005 and the present day, with fewer repeated connectors such as moreover.

LR

Lexical Resource

6.0
Scoring rule

There is sufficient vocabulary for locations and renovations, although several choices are awkward or inaccurate, including consultancy room and hospital.

Next step

Use precise map terms consistently, such as consulting room, health centre, relocated, and expanded.

GRA

Grammatical Range and Accuracy

6.0
Scoring rule

A mix of simple and complex structures communicates the comparison, but recurring article, tense, agreement, and sentence-completion errors reduce control.

Next step

Check every sentence for a complete verb phrase and keep past tense for 2005 and present tense for the current plan.
